Have you moved? Is it any further away from before?
We had to buy a new "digital" video monitor because we moved and our wireless router interfered.
Turn your router off and see if it works.
The errant switch, control or condition may change and you will suddenly release the amp's full power and possibly destroying your speakers. If a signal isn't audible at 1/2 volume it's probably not there.
Carefully examine the front panel for clues like a misplaced Mute or Tape Monitor control or Multichannel Analog Input selected.
There is a good chance that a common control (volume pot??) may have developed a high-resistance or 'dead' spot through defect or idleness and is causing your symptom. Turn the POWER OFF and operate every control throughout its range a number of times, especially rarely-used ones like Tape Monitors and the Mute control.
Turn the volume to something reasonable and see if that helped.
Hi there, I had the same problem. My baby monitor used to work fine, and then all of a sudden it wasn't picking up my baby's cries. I used to be able to hear the static in the background, but I couldn't even hear that anymore. If I pressed the "sensitivity" button on the side of the parent unit, I could hear the static and my baby, but after a minute it would shut off. Very frustrating! It turns out that somehow the sensitivity had been set to low. (Maybe this had something to do with the time I let my baby play with it...) I turned the sensitivity back up to high and it worked fine. To set the sensitivity, press and hold the sensitivity button (located on the side of the unit) for about one second. There will be a number of blue lights that light up on the front -- the more lights that light up the higher the sensitivity is. (Mine was set at 2 out of 5, not very sensitive.) While the lights are on, press the + button (located on the face of the unit) to increase the sensitivity (or press the - button to decrease it, but that is probably not what you want to do if you are reading this post.) Press + until all 5 blue lights are on, and you'll be at max sensitivity. (You can adjust it later if this is too sensitive, once you find out of this fixes your problem.) After a minute, your baby monitor will set itself to the sensitivity level that you set. So if the sensitivity level is really low, the monitor will seem to turn "off" after a minute. If it is high, you should still hear some static. Hope this answer helps someone! I am really glad I don't have to take this unit back, I like it.
Make sure all your connections are tight and you have power to your speakers...Then go Start>Control Panel>Sound and Hardware>Sound, after you are in here make sure that your speakers are selected as default device.
Hope this helps, pls rate
The Graco digital iMonitor scrambles the signal as it travels between the monitor and the receiver, making signals nearly impossible to be heard by others.
I had good experience with this product, it didn't suffer from the static noise problem.
You can possibly diagnose the problem by trying a different speaker,it does not have to be the same shape as the original but it has to have the same amount of resistance (ohms),radio shack might have one that you can try or one from a broken radio ,if you use one with different value it might not sound as loud but we are trying to see if you hear the static or is gone. You need to unplug the unit from the wall, remove the back cover and locate the speaker, disconect the wires and reconect the one to try then plug the set and turn it on,the antenna will need to be reconected too.Is the most simple test you can do without getting in too deep.Let Us know how it goes by a way of a new question or if you need more information.
