Question about Nikon Speedlight SB-600 TTL Flash
I bought the speedlight recently and I'm almost sure I saw it work in TTL mode but now it doesn't work anymore. Only in TTL BL mode. I know there are some limitations with my N80 model such as iTTL, but the user manuel doesn't this one. I also tried every shooting mode (A, P, S, M) but it still don't work. What's wrong?

It works but it's not ideal. The SB-80DX won't support TTL flash on the D60, only non-TTL Auto and Manual. The SB-800 is the most capable flash unit for the D60, but you can get full TTL operation with the less expensive SB-600 or SB-400.

SOURCE: Nikon Speedlight SB-600 keeps firing
I believe that there is a safety feature built in that if the voltage in the capacitor gets too large the flash will fire, to prevent damage, could be this that is faulty, if it is a new main circuit board is required.

the sync speed for the sb-600 is onlt 1/200 on most cameras i think so if your shutter is faster then that then all you will see is black/ the curtans behind the shutter.
basicly just try again with a slower shutter speed

Something else: In the only mode it works is in TTL BL. It doen't work in Manual. With red eyes reduction it does the 3 pre-fires but it doesn't fires the final flash. I also see the sign "STBY" (sant by) never turns off. I tried with new bateries but nothing changes.
