Have you tried cleaning the spray arms?

They are made so that they can be removed by the user for cleaning as it needs to be done occasionally. Look for a big nut and turn it anticlockwise, then check all the holes to make sure that they are clear.

SOURCE: dishwasher pump will drain but not force water into spray arms

If the washer is not used regularly the shaft can stick to the seals and prevent the motor from spinning. This happens quite regularly for me if I don't use the washer often. You can just take off the bottom panel - after shutting off power to the dishwasher - and access the motor. you should see some fins and then just try to spin the motor by hand. It usually takes about 90 degrees of rotation before the motor breaks free from the seal. You'll have to fight through the spring-like resistance created by the seal-shaft adhesion. After it breaks free the motor spins freely and you should be all set to go. I haven't found a more permanent fix for this other than running the dishwasher more regularly.

SOURCE: dishwasher - no spray arm action

If it is filling with water properly then it sounds like the chopper screen is clogged so that water isn't getting into the pump. You can remove the top of the pump housing and get to the screen and chopper blade to inspect it. Go to sears.com, click on parts and enter your model number and you can view a diagram of the pump parts to help in disassembling it.
If the pump is not clogged then you have a problem with the impeller or motor. If this is the case you can replace the entire sump assembly just about as cheap as replacing individual parts of the pump.
Post back with any questions.
Thanks, Mike

SOURCE: Dishwasher spray arms don't spin & spray water

Could be a a couple different issues.. Not filling with enough water or food chopper broke or food chopper filter screen clogged.

Check water level:
Run the DW and wait for the main wash to start (water will fill. pause then complete fill) The water should be no more than 1/4 inch below the heating element. If not there..replace water inlet valve.

Inspect food chopper:
1. Remove lower spray arm and rear water supply tube to upper spray arm.
2. Remove torx screws that secure the sump cover.
3. Remove primary filter
4. Remove food chopper cover to expose the chopper assembly. Inspect for breakage or blockage.

SOURCE: frigidaire fdb949gf dishwasher won't spray water from arms

I found on my first dishwasher the arm holes were plugged. I had to clean out each and every hole with a small wire. They would not even turn until I cleaned them God luck.

SOURCE: Frigidaire Dishwasher - Spray Arm Not Working

When a dishwasher has been checked for obstructions in the sump area and the spray arms can spin easily (by hand) plus the spray arm holes are not blocked, you end up with either a broken impeller or a failing wash pump motor.

Frigidaire Model FGID2466QF2A - Middle Spray arm is hitting larger dishes and may seem a bit wobbly. How do I move to provide clearance?

They should not wobble a lot. They have to be able to spin, but should not have a lot of lateral movement. See if you can remove the spray arm and clean out all the spray jets. If some are blocked at one side it causes the arm to not spin true and flat. It spin with one side high and one side low. The other problem may be incorrect loading of dishes.

Frigidaire 18" dishwasher arm is not spinning, and dishwasher is making a very loud noise.

Hi Ellie, this is AP!

I understand you are experiencing some trouble with your Frigidaire built-in dishwasher. Without knowing the exact model number I would assume there are two spray arms on this dishwasher, are both arms not moving or just one? Keep in mind that some dishwashers have two spray arms that turn at alternate times. They will never move at the same time. The changing of the arms starts at different times depending model and will continue through the end of the selected wash cycle.
If you can provide the model number for the dishwasher I should be able to provide you with the instructions to remove the spray arms or you could contact the manufacture they may supply it to you also. You could also apply rinse aid to the junction between the spray arms and mount to see if it will relieve the arm to spin. If not, please reply back with the model number so I could provide a more educated response.

Frigidaire FFBD2403LW normal cycle hum

Hello ddux97 - Often this occurs because either not enough water is being pumped to the spray arm or in other words the full flow of water is not making it to the upper spray arm. Will the spray arm rotate freely? If it does not, then you might have to remove or replace the spray arm assemblies since it is possibly damaged. Confirm that the drain hose is strapped up properly under the sink to prevent the water from siphoning out during the cycle. If issue persists, I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if the unit's status has changed successfully.

Frigidaire dishwasher is not spraying water from bottom

From what you have described, sounds like the sprayer arms are possibly loose or being held into place and can't rotate, by dishware.

The upper spray arm doesn't seem to be moving or spraying water properly. It does move freely

Assuming top spray arms are clear of debris It sounds like your pump/motor assembly is bad and needs to be replaced. Thanks

Upper spray arm failure

Easy to solve!
(1) Remove the drawers to give yourself room to work
(a) bottom drawer just comes right out -- but you knew that
(b) Carefully unclip small plastic retainer caps at the ends of the metal "glides" for the top drawer. Then slide the caps out of the glides. Then remove the top drawer.
(2) Unscrew the "gear-like" plastic fitting into whose hole you were sticking your finger when you felt that small cylindrical ring.
(3) Now that you've got access to the ring, the solution is obvious -- use it to snap the upper arm back into the gear-like fitting. When you're done, the arm will rotate freely in the fitting.
(4) Put everything back together and enjoy the fact that you didn't have to pay some yobbo $75 to come to your hous and do this for you!

(HINT: When screwing the gear-like fitting back into place, use the old machinist's trick of pressing gently and screwing backwards until you feel a click. The threads will now be aligned for you to screw things together the right way. If you do not do this, you might experience frustration reattaching fitting -- since the piece it screws onto is spring loaded.)

Frigidaire dishwasher dirty & sticks in cycle

First, check the holes on the upper spray arm. They should be clear of food and debris.
Next, There's a check valve (ball) built into the motor unit. Either it's stuck, or the motor isn't pausing at the appropriate time to switch from bottom spray to top spray. You can test the check valve by opening the door momentarily while it's running. The spray noise inside should sound distinctly different. Pausing longer will switch back to the lower spray arm.
If the check valve works, you'll need a new timer.
