Webcam can't get crystaleye webcam to start .acer aspire 5520

Follow the instructions below to use your webcam
Click on Start then >Control panel>hardware and sound >device manager>imaging devices>web cam....enable it
Another way is to use a IM application like Yahoo messenger,NetMeeting,etc. They will have video capabilities that will work with your webcam.

Does it maybe a updated software cause problem? How old is your notebook Acer Aspire 5520 ?You'd better descript your question more clear for detail,so that we can understand the real trouble of the Acer Aspire 5920 Notebook webcam.

You need to configure your MSN Messenger to use your webcam by going to options and select video or webcam preferrence.

There should be a program in the start/programs menu called acer crystaleye, the software to take pictures with the webcam is in there. (if you are running vista that came with the laptop).

Go to this link: http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/, choose notebook, aspire, and the 5520. Download the 3 camera drivers and install.

i dont have that exact model but on my acer if you go into the program files and look for acer crystaleye webcam or something similar. Hope it helps

It may or may not work, the FAQ says: "Q: Which webcams/video devices does Yawcam support? A: Yawcam version 0.3.0 and above works with all DirectX compatible webcams and video capture devices. This means almost all modern usb webcams and TV-cards."

So it may or may not work, worth a shot if you are having webcam issues! Hope this helps! :)

it would depend thou for how long you bought it, but if you bought it last xmas then you can return it now!
w/ the recipt and no tamperd stuff
or you could ask to replace the pc w/ the same version but no more factory prob!
