The TV was used in the US, Japan and then Philippine Islands, it always worked fine. When I returned it to Japan, the CATV auto programing will not program the channels, I can view them by pressing the number ie chanel 13 and I can see it but I cannot hear anything, also the chanels normally appeared in the top right corner in green numbers, ever since I brought it back from the Philippines the numbers show up in red. I am thinking that the cable needs to be reseted, can you help?
P.S. the sound is fine when using the DVD.

Re: CCVG297 broksonic 9" TV
When the channels show up in red thats an indication that they are not programmed into the TV set. Your going to need the original remote, go into the menu and then press auto scan with an attenna attached to the set. If it wont scan then you have a bad microprocessor

Under the menu settings, make sure tv is set to CATV and not Air. CATV is for cable. Then look for tuner options or channel edit options. Find the "autoprogram" option and select it. It will scan and remember all available channels

1 turn on your tv or catv 2 aim remote at tv or catv 3 while holding tv or catv button press 0 to 9 last ch 100/ent or channel 4 release both buutons when tv or catv changes channel. note press tv or vcr or catv button first to select desired function
