have you tried to run auto convergence

In a nutshell, the convergence ICs have failed. The cost to fix by a service company is likely about $300. You may find someone who does it on the side for around $150.

If you are happy with the picture, you like the tv, then $150 might be worth it.

It is possible to do this repair yourself if you have an electronics background.

that sounds like a typical Convergence IC problem..

Convergence ICs and the two pico fuses need replacement. You can get replacements at the following link with instructions.

Replace the convergence ic's. You will also find several burned resistors in the same area that need to be replaced.

This should be a relatively straightforward repair, but without the model number, I can't provide the details. Can you please update this with the model number?
