Question about Kenwood VR615 Receiver

Kenwood Reciever VR-615 S/n: 20102759

My reciever is only 3 years old. My display lights are not coming on. Are there any recalls on this model or can you tell me what may be wrong? I saw other emails on the web where other customers with the same model are having the same problem.

    I have the same model with the exact same problem.... display stopped working a little more than a year after I bought the system. The same thing happened to the Kenwood car stereo in my wife's car... Although I like the Kenwood products I'd have to think twice before muying another one....

    I have the same model and the same problem.  On mine, if you push on or tap the front of the unit just below the display, it turns the display off, and if you give it a solid one-finger-tap on the top of the front panel, the display comes back on.  I'm about to open it up to look for any loose connections... not that I'd know one if I saw it.

    No display at all. DSP LED comes on when you keep hitting "Listening mode".

    i have the same problem only my surround sound seems to go in and out with the display working ,if the display works the surround sound works,but no display all i get is the center speaker and the sub

Mine is 5 years old. Mine started that after 3 years. I would have to push down on the top front and center of the unit for it to light up. When I released it it goes back out. Now I have another problem. Earlier this year the sound would cut in and out. Now as of this very second the only audio I get is the music and sound effects unless I put it on Stereo. Can you help me with that? Randy

    I have the same unit and tried for several years to find relevant information. I finally found service manual online and started searching by the display part ED801 and found the following post:

    I was able to use the excellent information in this post and re-solder the connections mentioned and now my display works just like it's brand spankin new.

I have a Kuerig B70 model and I would like to know if it has been recalled also I have not idea how I would return it.


Do not send it to them. The guy that suggested this is totally wrong! They will not accept it. No one will accept anything back without a RMA. Check keurig.com to see if there is a recall. The only one I just saw was a recall on what I think is one of the new 2.o models. They will tell you how to proceed if they determine you yours is bad. I was told to send them my K-Cup holder as proof of purchase when they agreed mine was defective. I just checked Keurig.com. The only recall currently is for the K10 mini brewer.

Timing chain 1998 4000cc sohc motor


The way to find out would be to see if the bolts holding the timing chain cover have marks from a socket been on them.

When i pulg in an turn on my roto zip model rev01 the lights come on but saw does not, took apart an brushes looks good, what else could be wrong?


depending on how old the saw is, the trigger may be shorted out. try and get into the trigger assembly to confirm.

My bosch dishwasher model shu33a keeps running.At first the sanitized light would not light now it just keeps running and when i open the door its not real hot like before..the washer is only 3 years old.


change the control module. check to see if there is a recall on this module. bosch will tell you if it is.give them model # and serial #. by the way if the modell is arecall you will get a free fix. let me know if this info helps,

STALLING


COULD BE INTAKE GASKET LEAK.HAVE CAR HOOK UP TO A DIAGNOSTIC SCANNER TO CHECK IDLE SPEED CONTROL AND THE EGR VALVE.THIS IS IF CAR STALLING AT A STOP.IF STALLING WHILE DRIVING HAVE FUEL PUMP CHECK.IT WILL STALL MOVING OR AT STOP SIGN OR RED LIGHT.THIS IS DANGEROUS GET FIX FAST.

Hoover Wind Tunnel U6439-900


There was a recall from Hoover awhile back regarding the switch, On the model number tag is an 1-800 #, call it and have your model and serial number ready, they will tell you if you need repair from this recall. But if it is only 2 or 3 years old, then it isn't for your model. Otherwise just replace the switch.

Limited colors (almost like VGA)


You have a defective light engine. Replacing the bulb will not solve the problem. We just went through this so here's what you need to do. Call Hitachi's customer service relations (not customer service) at 800-654-7013 and tell them what the set is doing and that you have a bad light engine. Hitachi will act like they have not heard of this but will give you the names of certified dealers in your area. Once you have a tech come out and confirm the problem, call Hitachi back, at the number listed above and they will call the dealer to confirm the problem. Once they confirm it with the dealer, they will send out a brand new light engine to the dealer ( at Hitachis expense, around $1500) and the tech will come to your home and install it.

Here's the kicker, if you're not still under warranty, you will have to pay the install. Our install was $400 but worth it to us on a $
$3600 set we've only had 3 years and we've loved. PLEASE DO NOT let any dealer or department store tell you that you have to pay for this part. Hitachi has not recalled the part but they are paying for it. It sounds like from some of the other post on this board that some dealers and department stores where the set was bought are trying to make money off of the free part Hitachi is sending and PLEASE deal only with Hitachi's customer relations department at the 800 number I listed above. Hitachi's regular customer service will be no help to you. Good Luck:)

Also, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE UNDER WARRANTY FOR HITACHI TO COVER THE PART. You only pay the install. Our TV is 3+ years old. They are doing this in hopes of not having to be required to do a recall on this part (would cost them lots more). It should run pretty smoothly with Customer Relations.
