Get the remote and go to Menu and go to Initial Set-up and click on the convergence button. You will then be able to line up the pluses in the middle of each color. When they are lined up you are ready to go.

Colored lines at top and bottom when tv comes on and seeing double vision in different colors at all times

If your tv is not a DLP the problem is in the convergence, try to adjust it using your original remote control go to the setting menu then to the convergence section. Adjust the red and blue convergence. you should move the red and the blue in up, down and left, right if this color does not move far enough your convergence IC is already defective. Replacing this convergence IC will solve the problem. In locating this convergence IC you should remove the back cover of your unit but be sure to unplug it before doing this. This convergence IC is attached to a large aluminum plate, it is the heat sink, and it has a marking of stk- ### followed by numbers. You can try to pull it out using a soldering iron and soldering pump but be careful you may damage the board and cause much problem to your unit. Or you can contact a technician to do it for you and save you from stress good day and best regards.

Convergence color is not converting

Replace convergence IC (location 8c01) which is a STK-393-110. You will need to order an after market market convergence IC (STK 393-110) I have had good luck with this IC. Next, check and replace all the 3.9 ohm 2 watt resistors, that are bad. You can check them with an ohm meter or visually inspect for burns or peels. Resolder the Convergence board, as by now there are many bad grounds (broken solder connections). Be sure to resolder the jumper jacks that connect the board to the next board too.(Under this board are solder traces that adhere to the jumper connections that will snap to the next board.) These would include jumper jacks PM, VU, and PF. Good luck and thanks for asking, show all hands of support!

Mon image est en trois dimensions

Hi Franceg40,
The main reason of your problem is the convergence board gone bad, check first the bad solder joints in the board, you may replace the convergence IC and resistor around or the entire convergence board for your convenience.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.

JVC AV56wp74 convergence. Resistor before ICs?

It's recommended to replace all the defective parts first because if you only replace the defective resistor, it might burnt again if the convergence IC is shorted internally. I would also suggest to measure the other low value resistors with multimeter.

Red convergence will not adjust horizontally

Only two possible reasons; First the resistors are easy to miss-check-----and also take the chassis up and make sure all the solder connections and foil traces to them are not damaged---Second:The circuit board that plugs into the main board just to the left of the rear IC is the sets DCU---it stores the memory of all the convergence adjustments--it could be bad. The real Question is IS THE CONVERGENCE BAD NOW IN EXACTLY THE SAME WAY AS WHEN IT WAS BEFORE YOU REPLACED THE 392-120 ic's? If it is bad in a different way you may have installed a new IC that is bad---does not happen often but does happen--the most common cause for this is less than perfect soldering on the new parts.

Convergence

you have a bad convergence IC and probably one or two precision resistors next to the IC`s that have to be un-soldered and replaced, if your very proficient with electronics you can do the repair if not call a tech. If you decide to do the repair yourself
you`ll need a volt/Ohm meter (to find the bad resistor(s) and soldering equipment to remove the parts and re-install new parts, let me know and I`ll get you part numbers for IC`s, you will have to check resistors and tell me which ones are bad for their respective part numbers.
