Lc-32d62u tv powers on and stays on but only blue screen and i have audio i have done all the trouble shooting steps and nothing changes. what board do i swap or is it a cap issue? no caps look bad

If you have already replaced all the boards in your Vizio D50u-D1 TV and are still experiencing the same issue of no sound and a blue screen, it simply indicates a internal deeper underlying issue with the TV's internal components or firmware that requires a professional repair or assistance by any professional.

my guess is you either have a satellite or cable box try unplugging the system cable or satellite and set for 5 minutes and then plug them back and and restart the unit up and see if it comes back the gemstar module would some times lock up causing this problem . and please let me know if that get's you working or if there is more trouble shooting to be done

I measured the transformers on the master and slave inverter board with a multi meter. The resistance should be 1.31 k ohms. All but one measured within the specs except one. I get an OL reading. I took a chance to order this part on eBay for 13 dollars. After soldering it, the resistance for all of the transformers were back to specs. The tv powered on and stayed on. Works good as new. If anyone has the this similar issue I would advice testing the mini transformers on your master and slave inverter board. My email is [email protected] for help.

just let me know first if you will be the one to the repair since it needs a proper trouble shooting. a voltage checking and a component parts checking. the cause of the this kind of trouble is either a power supply board failure or a bad component in the main board. so isolate the main cause you will need to have trouble shooting and right device and tools.

Do you see the backlight ever coming to the screen?

You will want to open the cover, disconnect the backlight inverter and try again to see if it will stay on even without an image.

If it does it's the inverter.

if it still shuts it's most likely (not guaranteed) either the power board itself or the main board.

A good tech should be able to test the power board independantly fairly quickly.

It would be possible if you can go into service menu and write all settings and implement with the new board by going back in and changing what you wrote down.

It could be anything call a repair guy

You need to check the 12 or 24v source coming from the power supply to the inverter board, that's the board usually to the left and rather tall. Get your meter set, then turn the set on and see what happens, if the voltage comes up and then shuts down, you'll need to pull the plug for the inverter and measure the voltage again. If it stays up you have a bad converter board, if not then it's in the power supply, that's good old fashion trouble shooting from there on.

May sound like the video board went out.
