Pink Dot in center of screen.

I have a Hitachi 50SBX78B tv. It has a great picture except in the very center of the screen, there is a square pink dot. It is about 1 1/4" wide and 1/2" tall. It stays on permantly and doesn't seem to get better or worse. Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks for your help!

Well, You have a bad engine, so what other's called lcd projector motor.
This will cost you, the engine states at about $500. I've seen this problem and right after I've change the engine for some
F#$% reson the bulb when, twice on me, that's another $400.

*Call an Authorized Service Center and them give you an estimate cost of the repair, or

Screen turns all pink

Sounds like you have a bad M-301 assembly. You could call a service center that is Authorized or change channels a lot.

There is a service bulletin for this problem - you need to reintialize the memory settings in the service menu - I have a pdf file showing how to do this.

I have seen this before, and I can only describe it as a flaking of the phosphorus coating in one of the picture tubes. If you can, remove the back such that you can take a flashlight and look down into the 3 picture tubes. If you see any flaking or dark spots in the phosphor, there will be a spot on the screen missing that color. Unfortunately, this is not repairable, as all 3 tubes would need to be replaced (like replacing all 4 car tires when one is completely bald) and that would cost more than a new TV.

That is a unique problem. You might make sure that your mirror and lenses are clean and that nothing has fell in the way of the tubes. There isnt anything else that could come to mind that would cause this.

stairmaster 4000 won't turn on. It has a reset box attached. The cord to an outlet runs out from that box. I press in the long needle like red plastic button. The red light on the rest box turns on (red light), but only stays on for a minute, then shuts off. No power goes to the machine even for that one minute. I would guess a fuse was blown, but I am just guessing... and I do not know where this fuse would be, even if it had one.
