Question about Vizio 42 in. LCD TV
Attempts to connect RCA 900 MHz Wireless Stereo Headphones, or Sony MDR-NC7/BLK Noise Cancelling Headphones to Vizio 42 in. LCD TV have been unsuccessful. Is there a special adapter needed? There is only one audio plug on the TV that fits the plug in for both of these. I note that another TV has a "headphone" plug in and the Sony headphones work find on that TV. I need to get this set up for my mother who is in a nursing home and cannot hear well.
Change the batteries in your remote. If your cat was laying on a button it could have drained them.
Here's tip - you can use your camera on your cell phone to see the IR signal coming out of your remote. Point the remote at your cam and press "On" or any button. You should see a bright flash with every key stroke.

Visio might not have a headphone jacks at all! Look around your set and, probably you won't find jack marked as headphone. You might need to use wireless headphones, what have an rca plugs and connect them to audio monitor out on your tv set.
