SOURCE: Husqvarna Sewing Machine starts sewing when power switched on

The problem is probably the foot control. The little wires wrapped around the insulator have broken and are shorting against each other or the cord itself has a short. You can purchase an aftermarket foot control at your local shop, this is the cheapest way to try first, if that does not correct the problem replace the cord.

be sure to use authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer. You can find a listing at the Husqvarna Viking website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us
If the local dealer is unable to service, have them send it to Husqvarna Viking (SVP) Technical Service Department for repair.

I am in the middle of an embroidery project. The machine will not sew and a box appears that says I need foot P. I do have foot P on already. I have tried turning the machine off and back on

remove the project, remove the foot, and remove the bobbin. Clean the areas around the bobbin and the faceplate, then reassemble everything and see if you are reading the foot properly. It sounds like lint or dust are somehow interfering with the foot sensor.

My knob at the end of my machine is frozen

Are you talking about the flywheel? The knob that turns when you are stitching? If that is the problem, then there is something bound up in y our machine. Unthread the whole thing. Will it turn? If not, take out the bobbin and try to turn it Check your needle to see if it is bent. If none of these work you will probably have to take it in for service. I recommend finding an independent repair shop rather than a sewing machine store. They are considerably less expensive, and can get the work done in a fraction of the time. Best wishes to getting back to sewing!

My bernina artista 165 turns off and then back on in the middle of my sewing

could be a short in the wiring , it may not be getting a good
connecting from the power cord,or the motherboard could be
going out
it would be a good idea to have the machine checked

My HV DD gives a "motor overloaded" code after the power went out in the middle of it embroidering

if there is a reboot option it should be in the instruction manual
if it doesn't show there, contact the one you bought the machine
from to see what they suggest.
you said you had the machine plugged into a serge protector
I also suggest a battery back up you can get them at different stores
like wal mart or best buy, that way if the power goes out the battery
back up will kick in and keep the embroidery project going, the
battery back ups have different time amounts on them, we have 2
battery back up, one for our desk top pc and the other for our
daughters pc for her school work and they do come in handy.

Janome 9000 lost all power in the middle of embroidery and won't turn back on.

have you checked to make sure the power cord is plugged into the machine correctly?
is the outlet getting electricity?
if the answer to the above is yes
then it's possible the power cord, motor could have with out
have you checked to see if the sewing machine has a battery compartment
or a fuse compartment?

Wont start in middle of hoop

Does the hoop moves when you turn on the machine? If so, then is when it doesn't go to the middle?
If so, turn on the machine without hoop. Carefully move the base (where you screw your hoop) back, I mean to the left. Sometimes this part moves and gets out of the place is supposed to be.
I hope it helps!

Janome MC 9000 off touch screen calibration

Thanks guys

I remembered the fix!!

On the Janome MC 9000

To calibrate the touch screen

1. Turn off
2. on Sewing arm above needle there are a series of buttons
3. Hold down bottom 3 buttons
4. While holding turn on machine
5. Using scribe
6. Touch the centre of each + as it appears
7. It will go Centre bottom rh centre top lh as you select each + position it moves of it's own accord.
8. Turn off machine
9 Turn on and test.

Important sometimes this does not entirely fix prob!!
Simply do it again "Yahoo""
Some mechanics will try to tell U the screen is on it's way out
Bollocks just calibrate.
Thanks

Shut down in the middle of sewing and will not turn back on.

Was it tired? The bobbin case is locked in place, because of tread or lint.
The "hook" will not move. Take the bobbin unit apart and clean and oil the hook (yes, oil, just a Q-tip amount).

Keep on Sewing

Machine wont move

I just found out that if you still have the bobbin winder on, the machine won't turn at all. So make sure that you have the winder slid over.
