Sounds like a bad wireless card or the card slot.I would try replacing the wireless card. When wireless cards go bad they either cause the laptop to not boot, low or no signal reception or the card isn't seen at all by the motherboard or operating system or .both.If it isn't showing in device manager either with a caution sign or installed the card is most likely bad

Toshiba satellite l505 gs6000 amd mobo fried can i replace with the l505 intel board??

if your motherboard is fried and you are running windows it is probably best to find a replacement motherboard of the same make and model so when you go to start it up it should work.

if not you can attempt to have it fit into the laptop but laptop motherboards don't have a standard size so some modifications might need to be made

Restore FN + F8 key to reactivate Wi-Fi on Toshiba Satellite L500

Hi,
My laptop didnt enable the wifi with the fn+f8 key.
I even reset the cmos and nothing.
Then I went to toshiba drivers website and after installing the "thku" "toshiba hotkey utility" the fn+f8 start working and enable/disable the wifi. It now shows a popup windows when I press the fn+f8 key.

Before the wifi led was always off. Windows detected the wifi device but nothing on the wifi available list.
Now the led is always on, starts orange when I turn on the pc and blue when connected.

Loss my wireless connection

If you reformatted your hard drive, you'll need to reload the wireless card drivers for the computer. They are not part of Windows.

The toshiba satelite L505d-s5965 cannot connect with the wireless

There are two things you have to first check on:
1) Check if the wifi turn on button is set to on or use the Fn keys on keyboard for that.
2) Check in the computer devices to see if the driver is installed, not conflicting and working well.
