How do i get my wi fi to work again? i've owned it for 14 months w/no problem. Now it wont connect although i'Ve got the same security (WPA/WPA2 PSK and password,It just working this...

First trouble shoot would be:
Connect your PC directly to the modem and see if you have internet access. If so, then just reboot the router.
If not, unplug the power from the modem and the router.
Plug the power back into the modem and wait 2-3 minutes (to make sure it talks to your service provider. Again - you can connect your PC to the modem and test.)
Then plug in the router and see if that connects (is there a light that indicates connectivity?)
If you did not change anything in your router setup, it should come back up.

If these steps don't solve the issue, please come back here and let me know.

Fingers crossed!

Humming sound cumin from my creative inspire 4.1 woofer

Make sure that you've fully pushed in the jack to the sound card.....maybe you've not connected the jack into the correct socket on your soundcard as there are usually 3 identical sockets...but only 1 is the correct one. Sometimes colour-coded green. Try it in each one in turn. If you have headphones, try plugging them in as you will hear sound in them when you've got the correct socket!

Another thing you can do is smell it.

But I got to tell ya, eBay has a bunch of them, for less than twenty bucks.

I've done it, it ain't worth the trouble. You'd be happier buying one from tigerdirect.com

Modem not detected

Go to the Control Panel, open the Phone & Modems Options folder, click on Modems, delete the modem listed, restart your computer and if you are ljucky, Win will 'find' new headware and reinstall the software for it.

The 'Win' modems aren't the 'real thing;' they use your main processor, a few components to facilitate connection to the phone line and a program that tells your processor (CPU) how to act like a modem.

You may also have to reinstall whatever dialer you use if it was supplied by your ISP.
There could be additional problems but if they show up, just let us know how they manifested - error messages, etc.

Hmmm, badassgirl?
