I have an Acer Aspire 6920 Laptop. I try to turn it on, it sounds on, the lights come on, but my usual orange wireless indicator does not light up like usual, my moniter does not come on, and the bluetooth indicator is on. I do not have a bluetooth device. No amount of button pressing seems to wake it up. What's going on! I had just cleaned it with a slightly damp cloth when it was off, now this is happening. I'm wondering if I flicked a switch somewhere?

Your wirless button will be located at the top of your laptop, underneath the screen, there will be 4 or 5 buttons and one will have a picture of a satelite/radar on there, this will be your wireless button

If
you connect the external monitor & nothing is displayed on it, then
this means that both the backlight lamp & the inverter board are
fine. The main indicators in these cases are the sound, and the hard
drive LED on the laptop case. If the laptop sounds just like it always
does for a minute or two after being turned on, it means it's going
ahead and booting the operating system, but the video processor or part
of the motherboard circuit for video output has failed. If the laptop
just sits there and beeps when you turn it on, or if you hear the fan
but not the hard drive chuckling with its active LED flashing away, it
means the laptop isn't getting as far as trying to boot the operating
system. While this could be due to any number of hardware problems, the
most common and easiest to troubleshoot or repair is RAM failure. If
your laptop has two RAM modules installed, try booting with just one
and then the other in the primary slot. If your laptop only has one RAM
module, you might consider buying one online from a site with a good
memory selector, like Crucial.com
sounds like the integrated video on the mother board went out there is a company in florida that will fix it for about 150 dollars but you have to send them your computer the list on ebay for mother board repair
Very annoying... but what i think caused the damage is the heat the laptop creates while gaming
Now i have a USB cooler pad for my laptop but yea all i do now is turn on my laptop to warm up for 10 15mins or so then... turn it off and turn it back on then it will work...
What qualifies you people to write responses? The switch for the 6930 is located just above the NumLock key. It actually looks like an LED indicator of a satellite dish, but it's not. It's the button for the WiFi enable/disable. Push it hard...
the flashing orange light is an indicator to tell you that your wireless adapter is working and has a connection to your router, if you are not wireless, press the button that is flashing and it will dissable your wireless connection,to turn back on press it again.
