Saved Channels Every time I turn my TV off the programmed channels are reset and need to be re-programmed. This is the same problem i have had with the favorite channels option for some time now.

I have seen the problem when you plug the set into a cable box,the set should be plug to a source it never looses power, when you turn your cable box off it turns off the outlet in the back too.If not the case the set is loosing the power that keeps the memory alive all the time even when the set is off but you will have motre problems than this one.

What hes saying is to always plug the set directly into a wall recepticle so the set will not lose its memory.

Manual fir a sylvanian #lc321ss9 made in 2009

ManualsLib has the manual for the Sylvania LC321SS9 here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/500307/Sylvania-Lc321ss9.html . See https://www.manualslib.com/manual/500307/Sylvania-Lc321ss9.html?page=18#manual for the directions for manual scanning of channels. If the TV looses power before you turn the TV off with the power button, the scanned channels will not be saved.

I hope this helps.

Why would we have to re program our tv channels?

If you turn the TV off by any other means than using the TV's power button you will lose the saved channels.
I think that this only applies to the first turn off after the channel scan.

Digital channels are not being saved during auto program.

Main system control memory IC fault. This is a very small IC; have 8 solder terminals, and can be located very near to the main system control-chroma IC. Check and replace it. Be sure to replace it with the same number printed on it; in all respect. Otherwise, it won't go. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Before replacing it, try a reset to this set, and then check.
There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here.

Reset code for channel access

What's the model on the TV? Can try to look for the manual online. Might be worth a shot to try a capacitive discharge (unplug power, try to turn tv on a couple of times while power is unplugged, plug back in and try again). That may reset it.

Can also try going in the menus and rescanning for channels.

Playing vcr causes new digital tv to lose saved channels

Vizio representative suggested connecting antenna directly to TV and not through the VCR. In doing this, we lose the ability to record on the VCR but we record elsewhere and watch downstairs. The problem is solved on losing channels. I must add that we watch and record on a Sharp digital TV upstairs and do not lose channels. I don't know why the VCR had this effect on this Vizio TV.

Need channels reset

If you do not have a replacement remote and their is no menu button on the tv then you will have to do a hard reset.

To do this you will have to unplug your tv and all connecting components until such time that the tv is reset. You will know it is reset when the tv asks you when you turn it on to run a channel program.

Good luck.
