Epson cx4800 - will print in text mode but gives me a paper jam message in photo mode pape ris not jammed

My Epson cx4800 will print fine when I have the settings at text & image setting. but will not print photos at the photo or best photo setting. When I attempt to print using these settings it gives me a paper jam error continuously even though the paper is loading and ejecting fine

I've have the same exact problem with my Epson R1800. Epson tech support tellls me it's a sensor and to try blowing compressed air into feed and exit area of the printer. I did that, but no go. ...I'm really dissapointed as the printer really hasn't been used that much, ...and it's too expensive to send back to Epson to reapair. An ink hog too with a set of cartridges running $140. Nozzle check, ...clean the heads, ...pump expensinve ink out to clear the nozzles, ...repeat, repeat, repeat. Goodbye to you Epson, you're pretty, but you're so fickle

Epson support tells me it's a sensor in the printer. I tried air blasting the feed and output, but it didn't help. This $500 printer goes into the trash as it will be too expensive to ship and repair. This machine has amazing prints when it worked, but the ink useage and nozzle clogs are unacceptable, ...constantly pumping their expensive ink through the nozzles to clean them. Phooey on you Epson

It sounds like a driver issue. Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the software on your computer?

Printing is really slow almost 10 mins to print i am using Vista and have had updated the driver for vista but still

Epson R230 print slow at PHOTO, very slow at BEST PHOTO, if you do not need photo quality prints try printng at TEXT AND IMAGE for faster printing and the quality is still good. Also try to lower the resolution of that you are about to print, high the resoluton images takes longer time to print. Hope this will help you, Good luck!

Epson Stylus Photo R260 doesn't complete prints

Make sure that you have the correct paper size set in your printer settings. Incorrect size would cause the problem you describe.

Heads off photos

It is the borderless setting that does this, cause in actual fact, all borderless does is strectch your image.

If you remove the borderless setting, you will get the heads back

Unfortunately there is no way around this. Just keep this in mine when taking your next photo's.

Bluetooth dongle

Not really, what operating system are you using? on the printer itself set it to bluetooth settings and dont put n a code set but set it to discoverable, then when printing dont do a file print, instead right click on the file and then on your send to option if your computer is detecting the dongle one option will say stylus rx585- then it will print it. one thing that you can check is as belkin manufacturer if their bt dongle is compatible with epson, and FYI bluetooth printng is for photo printng only. doesnt look as good if you are going to print a document or text docs..

hope this helps, and if you have inquiries email me back
if it solved your issue pls rate as fixya, thanks!!!

Prints pictures too dark

II have had the same problem and it relates(at least to me) the type of paper yuo are using and the settings you place on the paper. With high glossy photo paper I was using the setting for that and then I switched to photo and text and set it for plain photo paper.

If that does not work then save the image to a photo soiftware such as windows fax and viewer and print it through that. You can lighten it especially for high gloss photo paper. Good luck This worked for me, The gloss photo settings made all m,y photos way too saturated on glossy photo paper.and much too dark.
