Fridge freezing everything

The fridge section freezes everything since we had the recall performed. How is the thermistat supposed to be clipped to the plastic slide adjustment? Wire came out of plastic holder and not sure how it hooks up.

I just replaced with dinosaur board and the whole Dometic fridge acts as a freezer. I have turned the board down as far as it will go and turned the fridge setting to 1.

after about 48 hours the refer freezes on both ac and gas. when placed in an ice bath, 32 degrees, the thermistor reads 8.85k ohms. replaced the board with a new one and the same thing happens. where can I get a replacement thermistor even though it appears to be good?

If your fridge is freezing to much put the thermistor closer to the fins (it will make it colder so it shuts off sooner)

Here is a picture of how the factory has it looking up from below the fins

Why the heat exchanger between the freezer section and the fridge section freezes up around the second element closer to the door and makes ice on the roof of the fridge section.

If your freezer is icing up it is the defrost mechanism consisting of the timer, heating element, and defrost thermostat.

When you unplug unit everything melts and it runs fine for a few days till it freezes up again.

Usually it is the heating element that just burns out and has to be replaced.

Everything on top shelf of fridge freezes even on lowest temperature

you should send model number,if you have a damper control in your model most likely this is the problem, all that happens is cold air blows over from the freezer from the evaporator fan and blows through the top section of the fridge side,if the damper door isn't closing all the way it will cause freezing in the fridge section.

The freezer section of our Danby DFF8200W freezes well. However, periodically the refrigerator section freezes everything in it with the temp control turned as low as it will turn for me. The dial does not...

Make sure you clean the backside of refrigerator at bottom from dust. Make sure you have the recommended clearance from wall. Also make sure the food in freezer and frige have clearance to allow air to circulate around food. Keep playing with your controlls...The dails might be on wrong

I have a whirlpool s20brsb21 and all to often everything freezes in the fridge compartment for no reason

Make sure that the fin tubes on the back are not loaded with dust, clean off and don't over load the freezer section. If there is no room for air flow the temperature will keep getting colder to compensate for low air circulation, thus freezing items in the lower section.

The bottom crisper in my refrige freezes my veggies

To repair this problem I dont think just toggling a lever is going to work. You need to locate what is suppose to sense the temp in the fridge section and how it stops the air flow to the fridge section. Basically most refrigerators cool in the freezer using the freon coils and transfer the cold to the fridge section using the fan in the freezer. Then your thermostat (temp sensor) stops the air flow by either turning off the fan or closing a small door going to the fridge section. This door is called the baffle and if you put your hand up to it and can still feel air coming thru when the temperature is 39 degrees or lower its not doing its job. With a model number I could help better but my guess is if its not freezing everything only the veggies your thermostat is off or the baffle is unable to close all the way and may have ice or debris in it. Either way I hope this helps.

Food in fridge is freezing.

I need your model number, you may have a problem with your thermistat. Sears uses a different model number system than everyone. The model number will look like this 231.0564879 for example. Or yours may have electronic vents. Let me know, Thanks, Sea Breeze
You may need to contact me because Fixya has a problem letting me know if you respond.
