Theres not alot you can do as most universal remotes, you cannot get into the menu to program the TV sets ot use any special audio functions. But this is an RCA universal so you should be able to get into the audio menu with it and change to nornmal audio. Also You should see if anybody you know has a RCA remote that may work for you That you can borrow to do this with

Need Remote fo RCA DRC8312N DVD-VCR Combo Thanks, Monte Haun [email protected]

My original remote malfunctioned for my RCA DRC8312N. I have purchased a RCA universal remote # RCR6473. I have used code # 3242 for the DVD code.It does almost everything that the original remote did except to open the DVD door. You just need to experiment with the onscreen info display in order to change title names and thumbnails etc. The remote also works great for other euipment functions as well as working features on my Sharp tv.

My dvd player plays all DVDs in Spanish if the option is avail.

Some how with that remote, you need to get into the setup of the DVD, and change the SAP or Secondary Audio source. It is set to spanish or to #2 #3 or such.

No sound

Hi, It seems that the SAP, no audio, distorted audio is a common problem for some RCA units even with the use of the original remote and in your case made more difficult with a replacement remote. Two things you can try: 1. Some say that unplugging the TV set for a long time, a couple of hours at least will do a hard/system reset on the microcontroller inside the TV hopefully resetting set-up the audio (including SAP) to default; 2. contact Customer Support at Thomson and explain your problem; 3. Try going a google on "RCA SAP manual reset"; or 4. Buy an original remote and not another replacement. Hope this work out for you and give you some ideas. Pls post again how things turn up. Good luck and kind regards.

No sound on two local channels?

Do you have the original remote? it will look like the one here:http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=gmi&smodel=B27TF680&brand_pn=RCA_B27TF680&mode=large&uid=11758883061400 If you do not have the original remote you will not be able to switch off the SAP setting, without it as there is a button that controls the sound. when this button is pressed you see where to turn off the SAP setting. Good Luck
