I have 3 ceiling fans in my home. I recently tested and figured out that we had a blown motherboard in one of the fans. I used one of the boards from a seperate fan, and have it installed. The fan works fine with ONE exception: The Intellitouch wall control has 3 buttons - light, fan, reverse. Currently the FAN button acts correctly, however the light and reverse buttons are reversed. I've searched everywhere and it seems many times the FAN and LIGHT buttons are reversed in which case you swap the two Black wires with White stripes. (I've tried this and many other wiring combinations, however, nothing works.) This is using the W32 Intellitouch and a RMM4 motherboard inside the fan.
Please help.
I've never heard of the light and reverse buttons being reversed. Normally It's the fan and light thats swapped (but your aware of that already). I would try a working w-32 from one of the other fans. There's also a shop called Fan Man Lighting in Minnesota who has a guy named Jason who has been fixing fans for over 20 years, He helped me with my Casa problems. Their website is www.FanManLighting.com Hope this helps.
