Question about Zenith C27A24T 27" TV
I have an older Zenith TV... I've had it probably 10 years. I've had this problem happen before but I can't remember how I fixed it. The tv remote should be the only remote I use to turn the tv on/off... the cable remote is used of for volume and channels. Now, the red Aux. button lights up on my tv remote when I push most any button, I can't turn my tv on or off with the remote, and the picture flips around so bad I can't watch it, sometimes the bottom half is at the top of the screen. Sound skips out too, quite bad. I believe the last time this happened I some how managed to get that little red Aux button turned off on my actual tv remote and then all was fine. If I remember right. And if I do, I certainly don't remember how I did it. Please help... I'm lonely without my tv. Thank you so much in advace.
The remote should have TV, VCR, AUX and maybe CABLE buttons at the top, one of which will light up when any button is pressed. Since it is a universal remote, the button at top lights up to let you know what mode it is in. If the AUX button lights up when any button is pressed, it means the remote is currently set to the AUX mode. To set it back to TV, simply press the TV button at the top. This puts the remote back in the TV mode and the TV button should now light up when any button is pressed. If that works and you are using a cable box with that set, then make sure the TV is on channel 3 by pressing 3 ENTER.

[2] Point the remote control towards the
television
[3] Press and hold the TV POWER button, and
then enter the two-figure code in the table
to the right that corresponds to the brand of
your television by pressing the appropriate
number buttons.
If your television is compatible with the remote
control, it will switch off.
The remote is now programmed to operate
the TV.
The code for Zenith TV is [TV POWER + 63]
