Dc 605 i have code of er4 on my remote what does this mean it is a 94 model changer

I solved e4 error by reducing the amount of food inside the freezer....very simple!. The error was disapear immidiatley.

no idea i think it means a jammed disk

You should be able to find the model of your remote on the back of the remote at the top usually a two to three digit number with a decimal point. 4.0, 4.4, 6.0, 6.2, 6.3 and 6.4 IR/UHF remotes- 628, 605, 608, 739, 835, 741, 607, 658, 740, 674 and 628.
20.0 IR - 628, 521, 740, 654 and 898
21.0 IR/UHF remote - 835, 152 and 213.

Instructions for addressing remote to your TV.

1. Turn the Television On
2. Press and Hold the TV mode button until all other mode button light up red.
   
3. Enter the three-digit code using the buttons on the number pad.
4. Press the pound(#) button once.
   Note: The LED will flash three times.
5. Test functionality with the TV
6. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.

Exactly the same problem over here, but after our house was hit by lightning, so not really surprised about the cause of the problem. If you look closely, you can still see the displays on a very low light level. I can still choose a microwave program, turn the time etc, and see the time changing, but start won't just just work.

It does not appear that the unit play dvds from other regions.
I cannot find any information on the DC power supply however you can always use a power inverter, found normally in the car audio section of stores.

Solution: Unplug power from wall. (Don't just turn off!) Next: Remove exterior case. Now gently turn the CD changer clockwise one position. Power up and try again.

I had this same problem after unit appeared to have froze up when unpacked from a shipping box. The CD changer had got off track and by gently moving the CD changer 1 position it fixed the problem. Works fine now.

Hi the CDX-646 is not coded. it must be your head unit thats coded.what model is the head unit?

for 33.50 if its one of the models listed you will nedd the remote comander tho.
