Re:
You can have them repaired using a TV Repair guy but often it costs as much as a brand new tv.
My daughter broke my $1,600 LCD. It would have cost $1,200 to fix.. so I just bought a new one. After that I picked up a TV screen protector called TV Armor http://www.tv-armor.com Its designed to protect the TV from damage. Now I dont have to worry anymore when she is playing near it. It works really well.

I just got one from a guy named Steve in Santa Barbara. He has at least one more. See eBay by searching for a similar model with a broken screen. FYI, all of the FC-20b... series seem to use the same stand. Good luck
You better be sitting down for this answer. The price to replace the screen is as much as the TV itself if not more. I strongly suggest you purchase a new TV. If you would like, purchase the same model and you will have a replacement board or two if your new TV would happen to go down. The accident in Japan has hindered TV replacement parts and it may be some time to get parts for these TVs. Thanks for asking and show all hands of support!
common problem for this particular model, one or more CCFL (backlight lams) falure. Lamps are not avalable as the replacement parts, only way to get them is to take appart bad/broken screen tv.
Don't buy this tv.The tv LCD screen broken, the tv is junk now,not worth as a whole tv anymore. The replacement of the LCD screen, will cost the same as a new tv.The tv LCD screen panels are limited produced,by the tvs corporation. Will cost the same as a new tv,if require changing the LCD screen panel.
This problem very common in sharp tv.The POWER,OPC flashes.First turn on have power LED indicator light stable at all? Tries the power again couple times will have backlight come back on,than it will work. Not at all more than 5-6 times than ur main turner signal board is the problem, must replaced.
Sorry to say, it's pretty much toast. The screen is most of the cost of an LCD TV, so if it gets physically damaged you're better off replacing the set.
help please!! thanks!!
