Question about Akai PT5598HD 55" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

Vertical lines If my TV is moved for any reason it will display wavy, vertical lines across the entire screen. Most of the time the picture looks this way, but sometimes it is very clear and crisp. I have checked all of the input connections and they appear to be solid.

I have the same issue. Most times the lines are there, but some times they go away after the TV has been on for a while. When they go away, the picture is great.

The red line in the crt is the sreen voltage is to high or bad tube.
A simple fix is if you take off the front panel there will be a black box be careful it is high voltage make sure you are a pro.
there will be six controls look for the one marked screen and is for red tube adjust very slightly counter clockwise.until red
line gos away. If that does not fix it its the red tube.

I hope this helps doctor video

TV: bright line across black screen for several hours.

vertical output ic needs to be resoldered. careful leaving that bright line displayed on the screen as this will cause a permanent phosphor burn into the tube. this can not be corrected once burned unless you replace the tube. mch

What you have described is definitely some form of Electrical Interference. Interference can come from a variety of causes. Is the Cable Inputting the Cable Box close to some High Voltage Electrical Lines? Or Are you located near some Electrical Power Station? Or A Police station, where the Radio Transmitter of the Police Station causing the Interference? As I said, there are a variety of reasons. Also, Try to check if the connector is loose at the rear of the Cable Box, or at the rear of the TV. You will have to eliminate every possibility reason. Wish i could help further.
