If you connect the computer directly to the modem, does it work? If that works then the modem is working. Now connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router. You will need to open the set up page of the router to check the settings of the router. You can set up the router without the CD also. It is very easy. Click Here for step by step instructions about how to set up the router
you might need to disconnect your modem for 30 secs then reconnect it . i have just reset my router and then the pc would show a connection but it only went to the router not through to the web.disconnect your modem reconnect then do a reconnect on the pc
You need to first plug the DSL modem into the router. log on to the router. Configure the router byusing the user name and password as supplied by your dsl provider. once the router connects to your dsl provider, you should be able to connect your playstation to the wireless network.
re-configure ur router and the modem after then go to the router page in that option is the nat or port forwarding option give there ur mac ip adress then you get it
then it promptd for password

Ok... this is an easy fix..first, turn off all the equipment including any laptops with wi-fi. then TURN ON YOUR MAIN ROUTER FIRST. Secondly turn on the cable modem..be sure its connected to the already turned on router. This will establish the router as your address the cable modem will set up as the main mac address. Then go ahead and boot up any other routers, and computers and wifi... That should keep everything connected because the router will delegate all the addresses to everything and the modem should remain "happy" with the router addres..
Let me know if this helps... and if you need anymore help.
This sounds like your modem is storing the MAC address. There are 2 things you can try. 1 try unplugging the modem for about 5 mins and then plug it back in. If your modem has a battery backup you will need to also pull the battery out for those 5 mins. Option 2 - Contact your internet provider and have them do a reset on the modem so that it will allow a new MAC address to be stored in the modem.
