Error 1 I have a dymo letra tag qx50 and I love it but often it just won't print, it keeps giving me an error 1 message and I have no idea what is wrong with it, it really slows me down when I have alot to tag...any idea what this message means? Heather

I had the same error message (#1) and checked the batteries, removed a tape jam, and cleaned the writing head with the tool inside the tape box. Nothing helped. I opened the casing, checked the motor, etc. nothing seemed to help. My last recourse was then to clean the writing head gently with alcohol. In order to do that efficiently, I had to remove it from its mounting. I put everything together and - it worked again!!! Brief summary: If the three suggested steps (that are officially described above or in the manual) do not work, take a small lens cloth or the tool that comes with the label printer, put some alcohol on it, and gently clean the writing head with it.

I tried all three suggestions. Finally in despiration I took the plastic cap from a pen and forced the roller (feeds paper) to move, put the paper back in and closed the cover. When I tried to print it worked just fine.

I found this solution via a google search and tried replacing the batteries, then the paper cartridge, and finally both. Nothing worked. I tried cleaning the print head with the enclosed tool (on the hinged lid), still nothing. Then I noticed a small, black switch towards the front of the unit that is obscured by the paper cartridge. I pushed it to the right, turned the label maker back on, and voila! It started working again. I have no idea what that switch is (couldn't find it mentioned in a quick scan of the user's manual) but flipping it did the trick for me!

The user guide lists all the error codes and possible solutions. http://download.dymo.com/media/UserGuides/QX50US.pdf Error 1 indicates a tape jam or low battery. To resolve, try removing the cassette and clearing the tape or replacing the battery.

You need to check whether is ther any printer ribbon for this device, If any try replacing it and then it will print better.

Dymo tag qx50 gives me error 6 message

You can get the book from this website. http://global.dymo.com/enUS/TechSupport/default.html ... the error you get is because you selected a font that can not do 2 lines... in other words its to big. Turn off the 2 line option and it will print. Or select a different font.

Error 1 message

Check the batteries and that there is nothing clogging up the tape area. Any little bit of tape can cause the error message to come up. Also if you put in say 4 new batteries and kept 2 older ones that show a little life still left, can cause the error message. Change all the batteries at the same time.

Letra Tag QX50 Error 1 message

Don`t close the back plane compleet, push print and pull on the tape, now it runs on mine. Close the back plane and everything is ok now, Good Luck!
