JVC TH-M505 powers off right away

Hi there, Hope someone can help. I have the JVC TH-M505 and it was working fine until one time while i was listening to music, the wire from the main unit to the sub came off. Without even thinking to turn the unit off first, i plugged the wire back in. Since that time, every time i try to turn the main unit on, it power off right away. I've check all the connections and even checked the internal fuse and all is o.k. Any suggestions? Was hoping to be able to resolve myself Thanks in advance

The unit is going in to shutdown. My guess is a failed output. Service is going to be required.

Hello, I have all working speakers for the JVC TH-M505 home theater system, but the control center/receiver gave out. Do you know if I can use them with the JVC TH-M606 HomeTheater Control Center? Thanks...

If the JVC m606 requires a stipped wire to connect them then they should be fine just make sure you connect the right speaker to the proper output if your speakers have a specified connector on the end then you would have to cut that off and strip the wire. if your m606 requires a specified connector for the speakers then you would have to change the connectors out for the proper ones.

JVC TH-M505 powers off right away

Sounds like your input power supply has a short. I'd take it in to a service center for repair unless you're handy with a multimeter and good at chasing circuits.

Subwoofer not powering up

I could either be the sub or the main unit. The main unit actually sends a signal to the sub to turn it on so if that circuit is bad in the main unit the sub is never going to come on. I've also seen bad cables (You'd be amazed at how stubborn people can be when din connectors don't cooperate).
