I have a 80 gb Playstation 3 that I bought last year. I've been playing blue ray dvd's on it and it works fine on some of the older movies. I just bought a new b.r movie and it goes throuth the intro, but it won't play the movie. When I press play movie it cycles and than it goes back to the main menu.
Please let me know what I need to do.
A Blu-ray playback device, say, the PS3, only have temporary rights to play movies as their encryption key will expire after a certain period of time. The only way for you to keep playing the newest movies with your Blu-ray playback device is to update and keep up with the newest firmware.

Change the bd setting to 24. make sure you download irmware 2.52..it has new bd settings features
