My Goldstar DH504EL Dehumidifier recently started running all the time and will not auto shut off. It is hooked up to a hose for continuous run off to condinsation pump. It doesn't seem to be running any water off. The top of the unit feels very warm and a little condinsation is collecting on the top.

Sounds like this unit developed a freon leak and that will make it run hot like that...cheaper to replace it then to repair... There are many reasons for a dehumidifier to not work or collect water. Here is a tip that I wrote to help people to figure out what is going wrong with their dehumidifier.
Your unit may be designed to run the fan continuously despite the fact that the room has reached the set humidity level. This design feature is intended to keep the air moving which helps mildew problems in both the room and on the surfaces of the dehumidifier itself. Check your manuel.
The hose connector does not drain the bucket, it drains the condensate before it enters the bucket. Tube passes through back of dehumidifier by the cord wrap area. (you may have to remove a small cover)
Two possibilities: 1. Continuous running and there is water coming out of the unit to the floor drain; the unit is just doing its job. It is probably just that there is that much humidity in the room; 2. the sensors are faulty or were bypassed during the repair - the sensor would be testing the water coming out, if there is water, the unit continues to work, if none, then it shuts off. Most would also have an overfill float switch, again which could be bypassed, that likewise control whether the unit will continue to run or stop.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
