There might be a problem with your cord/cable (a cord/cable that will enable you to connect your cam to PC).pls try to connect the cable firmly if still does not work pls try to get your memory card from your cam and put it in a card reader. That way you may be able to download pics from your cam to your PC.

NOTE: some card readers may need an adapter to be fitted in an SD size card for example i have an micro SD memory card i will need an adapter to fit the micro SD to SD.like this picture

How to Transfer Pictures from Camera to Computer Without Software

Trying to download the pictures to a PC

  1. Run the software that came with your camera. Pop the CD into your computer and go through the setup steps. The only way you'll be able to transfer is if you have the software installed. If you bought the camera used or, for one reason or another, just don't seem to have the CD, you can probably find a used or maybe even a new one on eBay. You might be able to find it somewhere else as well.

  2. 2Connect the camera to the computer. Let's face it, the pictures aren't going to the computer if there is no cord to connect them. Most of the time, you'll hear a sound or something will pop-up if the camera is connected properly and working.
  3. 3Sync the camera to the computer and transfer the pictures. With most camera software, as soon as you connect the camera to the computer and it recognizes it, something will pop up asking if you would like to sync the pictures to the computer. After that it's pretty self-explanatory. If nothing pops up or it never was supposed to pop up in the first place, open the camera program. Most likely you'll be able to find your way from there. If not, read your camera manual. It should tell you even more than this how-to.
  4. 4Another option is to buy a Memory Card Reader. They will go by the name " 6 in One, 12 in one, USB Reader Writer or Flash Memory Card Reader Writer. They allow all memory sticks and cards to be recognized by your computer. On Windows XP, you just plug it in and find it as another drive on My Computer.

I cannot download pics from my Camera-Samsung PL100 to my PC. I used to download before but since yesterday, i cant. How can this problem be solved.

When you connect your camera to your PC, is it recognized by your computer?
If so, when you connect your camera to your PC there will be a pop-up prompt asking you what action you want to take. Select "download pictures".
If you don't see a prompt, go to "My Computer" and see if it is listed under the device list. Right click the icon for your camera and find an option to explore the camera or download pictures. Once you can see the files stored within your camera's memory card, drag and drop the picture/s to where you want them saved on your PC.

For fast downloading you have to install vivitar software in your PC. A pop up menu will appear when your camera connected to your PC. Otherwise you can search the directory manually.

I'm trying to download photos from the comera onto my computer. The USB cable is connected. I changed "communication" on the camera to PC connection (which made the "busy" flashing disappear). But I still...

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Dont know how to download my pictures from digital

You can plug in the camera to your PC and use the default option in Vista or Windows XP that should pop up when you turn on the camera to the review or Play setting. You can also use the program that should have been supplied with your camera by Fuji. Also you can connect the camera to the PC, Turn it on tot he Review or Play setting and then transfer the pictures using Windows Explorer from the camera which you will see as a new drive letter to a folder which you can create in My Pictures, Documents etc.
