My dehumidifier was running great. The tank was full. I removed and emptied it. When I stuck it back in, the control panel went dark and now it does nothing. The cord is plugged in to a powered recptacle. Is there a reset or something? Where might I find an owerns manual? Thank you.

Independent of the bucket switch, the control panel should light when the unit is plugged into a powered receptacle and the on/off switch is depressed. The problem is likely the 12 amp. fuse located inside of the unit.

Trader, there was a service flash out on this model. The problem is that the bucket is not making the switch. The solution is to bend the end of the bucket switch with a pliers until it makes contact and starts. Date of the flash was June 2005. Should be an easy fix...Catriver..post back.

If your Midea Cube 20-Pint Smart WiFi Dehumidifier is stuck on "Water Level 50%" even though the tank has been emptied multiple times, you can try the following steps to reset it:
Unplug the dehumidifier from the power source and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
While the dehumidifier is unplugged, remove the water tank and check for any obstructions in the water tank outlet or on the float switch.
Clean the water tank with warm water and mild detergent, then dry it thoroughly before replacing it in the dehumidifier.
Plug the dehumidifier back in and turn it on. If the water level indicator still shows 50%, try pressing and holding the "Water Level" button for 3-5 seconds to reset the sensor.
If the issue persists, try performing a factory reset on the dehumidifier. To do this, press and hold the "Timer" and "Mode" buttons simultaneously for 3-5 seconds until the display panel shows "F". Then, press the "Power" button to turn the dehumidifier off, unplug it from the power source, and wait for 5-10 minutes before plugging it back in and turning it on.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be necessary to contact Midea customer support for further assistance or to have the unit serviced by a professional.
Are sure the bucket switches are not stuck in the full bucket position.
Cleaned the cooling coils.
Verified that the controls are set for a low humidity
Verified that there are no trouble lights or codes,
Know that the area to be dehumidified is well above freezing..
It sounds like they are both stuck in defrost mode or the compressors overheated and need to cool off. "Both" is a bothersome word. Both might imply a power surge that wiped out the controls. I would:
Unplug them and let them cool off 36 hours.
Check your manual for a control panel reset.
Take off whatever covers I could, to let me touch the cooling coils to be sure they get cool.
Plug in # one and reset the panel.
Let it run and see if the coils get cold.
Plug in # two and reset the panel.
Let it run and see if the coils get cold.
And then decided what to do next. Hopefully the cool off and reset did it .
The full light normally comes on when the tank is full. Emptying the tank and re-installing the tank should allow the system to reset. However, if the tank isn't pushed in all the way... the full switch and indicator light will be fooled into reporting a full condition. My suggestion is, first pull out the tank, look at the float and the tank full switch. Become familiar with these two items and confident that 1) the float is not stuck in the up position; 2) the tank full switch that the float is supposed to actuate will toggle (press your finger against it and let it return.) After this exercise make sure the tank is seated all the way in place. If your issue is mechanical, its easier to fix than if it's electrical, and if it is electronic... (just pray that it isn't).
Sounds like your float is stuck in the full position, or the sensor that shows full is stuck on full.
If tank is empty but shows full, problem lies where full signal is coming from.
Mosr dehumidifiers have a switch that shuts the unit off when the water tank is full check this float to make sure it is not stuck in the off position also empty the tank if it is full.Hope this helps.
The tank may be full. Your dehumidifier has a safety device that turns off the dehumidifier when the water tank is full. Usually the tank itself either presses against a switch or there's a device connected to the tank that triggers a switch when the tank is in place and full.
If you've emptied the tank and the unit doesn't run, inspect the place where the tank rests to see if there's a switch or mechanism that's not being activated. You may be able to turn it on with a simple flick of your finger.
