Red is out of line

The most likely cause is shorted convergence chips and possibly a few pico fuses.

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony,Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai,Pioneer Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.

you need 2 new convergence chips, part number stk 392-110, also check for burnt up resistors next to the chips, major disassembly and soldering, you probably need a tv repairman.

Typically this is a convergence problem and can be repair relatively easy. Refer to this video to determine if you truly have a convergence problem. Also make sure you use your TV's original remote to make this adjustment.

I would stay away from that repair man. That model has just one Convergence IC number STK393-110 and it takes about 45 minutes from start to finish to remove the old IC and install the new one. You can get the replacement IC at the following link and they provide free instalation instructions with pictures so you can do the repair yourself for less than 30.00. Heres the link. Need convergence IC's and probably several resistors that have changed value. Seek professional help, someone who uses ORIGINAL ic's, not generic or knock-offs

I am having the same problem with my red lamp. i get an error on the touch focus and I cannot manually converge the red lamp.

go In service convergence mode and try to adjust red and green if you cant then it's convergance amp ic's
if you can adjust them so they align up try doing a touch fous after that,.

you have a convergence problem that will require the replacement of the convergence amp ics.

The symptom suggest a faulty converge ic.you need to replace that ic ( stk392-110 ).
