SAMSUNG X10 LAPTOP - WONT BOOT TO WINDOWS

My laptop will not boot to windows. I have had the hard drive replaced and it worked again for about 24 hours only. I returned it to the shop and they put my old hard drive back in again - it worked again for about 24 hours. It will now not boot to windows at all. Any ideas.

The connection on the motherboard for the hard drive may be bad and the motherboard may need to be replaced. To test to see if its the motherboard connection, trying using another computer to down load the following utility: http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/ First, if this utility cannot see the hard drive (and you've already tested multiple hard drives), then its a problem with the motherboard. Next, this utility also has hard drive health monitoring utilities to make sure there isn't anything physically wrong with the hard drive. It even has the ability to check it for viruses.

Laptop asking to insert media boot disc and not got one

First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.
Then the hard drive needs to be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer or laptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning computer/laptop again.

My HP 4710s had a weird message that pops up after the logo screen. Then it says non disk or disk error strike any key to continue...I do that and the same message pops up...plz help.

the HP cannot boot up because it cannot find the hard disk to boot up from.
You could have a faulty hard drive or the hard drive needs re-seating.
If the HP still does not boot up after re-seating the hard drive go into the BIOS setting and see if the hard disk is detected. If not the most likely the hard disk is faulty.
To get the laptop working again. replace the hard disk, install Windows on the new hard disk plus the HP Laptop's device drivers and your programs.

My laptop wont start up, It says "system disc or non system disc error, replace and press any key.." why? :(

you have it set to boot from cd so when you startup the computer it attempts to read the cd and than boot an operating system for you either remove the disk or enter your bios menu and set your boot order to negate the cd drive
