Insert SIM error in nokia 11oo

In my nokia 1100 it shows a error message like "Insert a SIM" whenever it receives a sms or call.after some time it will be ok automatically.(my sim card is ok because it worked ok in other phone)

Your mainboard is having a problem reading your simcard.....you will need to take the phone to a mobile service center and have them either replaced or reflash the phone to correct the issue.....hopefully it is still under warranty and the fault was not cause by you the customer.

Hi, there may be some static on the sim that is affecting it. Rub it on your trousers before re-inserting to the phone, this can sometimes help. Have you tried the sim in another phone, it may be the sim thats at fault??

This can be caused if the sim slot in the phone is loose, this can be fixed very easily by taking it to a repair shop and having them change the sim holder.

What should i do when 1100 cell shows insert sim
the pins that touch the sim card could be lose or the sim card might be bad, try pulling the pins on the phone up carefully just a little so its a little more thighter to inser the sim card, then try again, also try another sim card if it doesn't help.

Whenever I receive long sms, my phone goes off and say"insert sim" and says sim rejected.The phone hanged, I can restart by switching off the phone.Again within few minutes the same sms come in and phone...
I too have the same problem.
It is easy to solve :)
Its all bcoz of ur phone memory.
If u store more msgs,pic msgs,ring tones It will switch off automatically...
Jus clean up ur mobile by free up memory

May be its detecting your sim card properly. Check your sim card in another handset. Verify if its the propbelm with sim card not your handset.

its either a loose sim tray or a problem with the Sim IC ...... use some packing over the sim card and see whether it works properly other wise you will have to get the sim IC changed
