MD853 kodak easy share digital camera

evironmental settings for shutter speed and duration day or night or subject motion. maybe it is set for night in a dim but lighted place.

that is the most problem of kodak battery once you leave the battery inside of your camer awithout using for a long time. the battery life become less or easily damage.

That is completely normal, as soon as you hook up usb cord, the camera screen will be blank. It will function just fine and normal.

I have a Easy Share M863 and have had it less than a year. It was working great and then last week I tried turning it on and it would not open. I thought it might be the battery needed charging so I did that. It still will not open. I contacted Kodak and they told me they would give me 15% on a new digital camera. That is not what I wanted. My camera is not even a year old. It should have lasted longer I think.

Enilra, sounds to me like you might have the button that takes the photo stuck in the down position. Without turning on the power, put you finger on the button and press down on it while you move wiggle your finger around. Get a good look at the button and see if You Can See If The Button is returning to the UP Position. Withour seeing your camera in person this would be my guess.

hi! my sister-in-law gave me a MD853 camera last week from Canada. I used it over the weekend when we went on a trip and the pictures and videos i took were great. Last night, my daughter took a picture of me and when she took a picture of her brother, there was only white on the screen...like a moving white sheet with colored edges. I thought she destroyed it or something. I tried to use it but now the screen is all black...last night only the video worked but this morning everything is black. The other programs in the camera works so i suspect the problem must be in the lens. I'm in the Philippines and if I send it back to Canada for repairs it would just take a long time and it will be expensive to send it back. What can I do? I really love this camera... help!!!

its doing the same thing your doing..
i lost my receipt and target wont take my camera back..
that sucks..

dont take the camera apart your self..
you will shock yourself..digital cameras have a high voltage level..
its extremely dangerous..
my dad dosent know my camera's broke..
i need my camera for a trip to the bahamas friday..
and todays wednesday..
i need it fixed asap..
