My 95 is way off - Freqs,Mode not working...Grrr!

I live in worcester,ma. I have a pro-94 that works fine. I tried over an over to program the 95 with the Massachusetts State Police Troop C - MOT. freq. in mot mode. It will not work! I used my 94 an mirrored both scanners. The freqs. were way off. And the MOT Mode has to be turn to NON-Trunk mode in order for it to work. I tried taking it to Radio Shack they had no clue an thought i didnt know what i was talking about. Any clue on whats going on with my scanner or should i just throw it off a cliff!

You have to be in "VFO" mode. Your best bet on that extremely difficult to use radio, is to get "chirp" and the proper cable and program it via a computer. If you search on-line for "baofeng programming" you may find an alternate set of instructions. Your absolute best bet: throw that PoS away and get a Yaesu FT-60.

put your scanner in manual mode.and then go to program mode and program your frequencies into your scanner.try that and see if that works.....if not it could be a problem in your Radio....

It is difficult to explain in simple terms but I will try.
Google rebanding.
Some radios can have their firmware updated but I don't think your PRO 2066 can.
Channel numbers and frequencies preprogrammed into your scanner have changed over the past few years.
When a data signal says go to channel X that channel is now Y, but your scanner is still looking for X

Your scanner has somehow gotten out of alignment, and there's no way to fix it with just a screwdriver. Your best bet for repair is your local Radio Shack. If they can't do the repair they should be able to refer you to a local, or they can ship it off for alignment.

I would make sure you have
the new frequency # put in scanner
GOOGLE free new scanner frequency #
put in your town and city.

Motorola Trunking not working

If you are getting "cross over" on freqs, then you need to take it in and have it repaired by a pro. You have some bad parts inside and only with the proper electronic gear can you locate them. Plus it will need to be retuned.
