Hello,

All you need to do is to open the back cover of the television to check for burnt transistor , this is always the problem , for you to fix this it require a basic knowledge on electronics,
Your power supply board is not yet dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I hope this will help out in solving the problem

SOURCE: 42" LCD HD TV keeps blowing fuses.

A ceramic fuse stands up to heat better than a non-ceramic fuse. I'm no pro, but it sounds like your power inverter board maybe bad. There are replacements out there. Good luck

Will not power up

If you have a direct power cord attached to the TV, try another cord like it and turn it on. That rules out the power cord, unless the power fuse at your home fuse box was flipped, or the power fuse to the TV was blown. Sometimes a Power surge or failure trips fuses or blows a fuse; so check them first. If all the Fuses or Circuit Breakers are working just fine, then the problem is more serious. The condition may now relative to either the Picture Tube and/or Projector Tubes, the power transformer, or damaged mainboard of the appliance. Any of these mentioned herein need a professional technician to check the circuitry for faults.

My Directv H21-200 will not power on. Even after leaving it unplugged for a while. I need to know if there is a fix or if it's fried.

Take the unit aparts, the power fuse at near the a/c power supply cord.Check for the power fuse.If the power fuse it is dead, replaced it,u have a 70%-80% the unit will work again. If the unit power fuse it is good.Than the unit it is fried,it could be anythings are dead on the unit PCB board, now u must have great electronic skills and troubleshooting skills to find out where it is and replaced it electronic parts on the unit PCB board.Require alot of skills at this points. Not worth the effort. It time to buy a new one.

Where do u find the fuse in the mitsubishi ws-55513 55in. by the power cord???

Follow the power cord into the back of this TV. You should find a small glass fuse near by. If the fuse is still good, chances are real good that this TV can still be saved. The biggest problem with this TV is the convergence board, which has many, many, many bad grounds that need resoldered. No parts are needed as yet, just some good old fashion rework on the convergence board! Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!

Heard a pop then screen went blank. Now TV wont turn on.

Sounds like your fuse.

If not the fuse in your plug, then the internal fuse in the TV. to get too this you need to open the TV by taking off the back plastic panel and look at the fuse.

the fuse is the glass tube on the board, will no doubt be near where the power cord connects to the TV. and are easy to replace with another fuse. you will know soon as you open it if its blown as the little glass tube will be blackened or the little wire inside the tube will be missing or severed.

Fuses in TVs are actually designed to blow over time with ware (usually to last a bit longer then the warranty time frame) so after the cover has ended the TV can go in for repair work at extra cost. Its a little known fact.

We had a storm the power shurge took the tv out

The place to start is with the ac fuse:

1-576-193-11 F1900 FUSE, 6.3A 125VF-1900 is its location number and it is a 6.3 amp fuse. The first number here is the SONY part number for this fuse--1-576-193-11.

You need to unplug the set and remove the back cover and follow the power cord into the set--it will lead you directly to the fuse--if it is bad do not buy one from RADIO SHACK--the fuse is somewhat special----I have seen GENERIC ones blow for no reason

Turned TV on with remote, circular indicator went

Please call Memorex customer service at 800-919-3647.

Unfortunately, what you're describing is a repair issue. You won't be able to address the problem with troubleshooting. There is a part inside the TV that needs to be replaced. If the TV is less than one year from the date of purchase, it is still under warranty. Call the number above so that you can have the unit repaired.

I hope I've provided you useful assistance and that this information allows you to make an informed decision as to how to proceed from here. Please be sure to vote on my response. I hope I've earned a good rating from you today.

Olevia 32in" no power at all

After taking the screws out and removing the back, you will see a power supply(where master switch and cord connector are). Remove the 4 screws on the aluminum cover plate to gain access to the fuse. Using a voltmeter, with the power on and switch on, measure the voltage on each side of the round fuse located just behind the cord connector. If voltage is 0, fuse is good. If voltage between 115 and 125 V, replace fuse or have fuse replaced. I think it is a 6.3Ah 250V class fuse that is soldered into the board. IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH SOLDERING TECHNIQUES AND PRECAUTIONS, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DO THIS. IF YOU ARE NOT FULLY AWARE OF ALL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS NECESSARY TO MAKE THIS REPAIR HAVE A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN DO IT FOR YOU!!!!!!

If a new power supply is needed, contact me and I can point you in the right direction.

No Power

Mine dead stopped turning on one day and I found the solution. You will need a appropriate sized phillips scredriver, a head lamp or LED keychain that you can aim from your mouth, a slim flat head screwdriver, and some skinny needle nosed pliers.

-- unplug it.
-- Unscrew/remove the right side panel, on the side of the AC connector (I don't advise opening the entire box as it was a bit hard for me to get back together)
-- fire up your light source, you'll need it!
-- *looking at the now open unit form the open side* you will see the green mainboard horizontally across the bottom.
-- *key in on the near right corner next to the small clear tube fuse*
-- the part that is having problems is the wire lead that has a small white vertical plastic connector, (near right corner next to the fuse) (it will probably have a white "tab" coming from the connector that is slightly out of place)
-- take the needle nose pliers, gently grasping the plastic connector on the wire side, and disconnect the wires from the mainboard connector. (may help to use the slim flat head driver to help dislodge this).
-- once it is disconnected, use the slim phillips to realign that white "connector tab" and slowly (making sure to not bend the pins) re-connect that wire piece with the mainboard connector.

Plug the power in and try flipping it on. Hopefully this fixes it for you. I have had to do this about every 6 months over this last year, but its cheaper than buying a new card!
