sounds like the door lock mechanism. if this cannot signal it has engaged, to the board, no other function will work (you don't want the washer going with the door open, trust me :) )
Suggestion: Put the machine off, try some WD40 on the machine where the lock is (not on the door). Then open & close the door a few times. After a couple of minutes try the machine
you may need a switch but not a door see if you can adjust the door and try shutting it hard as front loaders close snug because of the rubber boot check your power too
Remove drain hose from where it connects to the plumbing under the sink/tub. Inspect the spigot. If clogged, clean. If clean, then tilt machine back and remove drum to pump hose from pump. Check hose and also drain pump. Clear any obstructions.
