Question about Nikon Coolpix 5600 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Camera "dead" Hi, all! I´m new not only in this site but also in photography/cameras domain so I hope you, all, will understand my ignorance in this domain. My problem is big enough so, with all my shame, here is my question: what if I´ve forgot my Nikon Coolpix 5600 connected to the computer all the night?! I know it sounds stupid and to sound more stupid than it already is I will add something else: is there any possibility for my camera to function if being connected to the computer (all the night, as I said) it was turned on (all the night, again)??!Shortly the idea is that after all the night connected to the PC now the camera doesn´t work anymore..It is in the "turned on" position but nothing happens and it doesn´t have any light (green but neither red) it is just blocked with the zoom out. It doesn´t matter what button we push - it stayed like this, blocked. The batteris are ok. Is there any solution??! Thx a lot!!

Did you try taking the batteries out? If not, try that and then put them back in again. This might reset the camera back to normal. Also, try turning the dial. Make sure it is at the camera setting, then try shutting it off. Further, move the dial to Set-up, and scroll down to the Reset all setting, press the right arrow and answer "Reset".

What kind of digital camera do i get

What kind would you like to get? Cameras vary widely in size, weight, features, capabilities, ease-of-learning, ease-of-use, and, of course, cost. The best digital camera for one person is very unlikely to be the best camera for another person.

Visit your local library or bookstore. There are plenty of introductory books that discuss camera types and the trade-offs they offer.

Dont know how to operate

Hi there!
If you are new to your digital camera, it would be best to go through the manual so you know the functions of your camera. You can also ask friends for help, especially those who are into photography.
Hope this helps.

Need the instructions

Search in Google:
[your camera brand and model] instruction/manual

if you are novice:
Check this about digital camera functions.
http://photo.net/equipment/digital/basics/

And this is a site for digital camera help:
http://www.digicamhelp.com

You didn't told what your camera brand and model. If you told I could try to find the manual.

I dont understand the workings of the t328

You can download a copy of the manual from the manufacturer's web site at http://vivitar.com

If you need more, your local public library should have books on photography.

Memory stic

Hi,
Use only memory stick recomended by the company, which you can buy from any nearest SONY DISPLAY CENTRE or SONY SALES DEALER.
Normally ppl use comman memory cards which shows working in the camera but when you shift the data from your camera to your pc the snaps show blurry, or bad images.

Therefore,Dont bother to spend little bit expensiveness but it keeps your precious snaps safe.

Hope you will understand my sayings.
Thanks for using FIXYA!.
Take care. Bye

Nikon d70s novice

I'm the same of you, only I went for the D40.
One general photography book that seems to be recommended by a lot of people is Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson (ISBN13: 978-0817463007 or ISBN10: 0817463003)
I've just bought a copy, so will comment with my own opinions later if you want :)

Can't really comment on D70-specific books I'm afraid.

Recurring dead batteries

Get it serviced to find out if it is repairable or only insert battery to use then remove when not in use
