My epson printer stopped putting the ink on the pages..
it shows like it is writting the articles but nothing happens.i have put new ink in,i have tried to print test pages,i have cleaned the head 3-4 times, and did the nozzel check. all the things it gives options for in the printer settings on the computer. do i need to go buy a new one or am i missing something, my printer is about 2 1/2 years old.
thank you jeanne
Try cleaning the small tube that is located under the sponges. When it becomes clogged no ink will go to paper. Move ink cartridge cradle to the left, now pull out wiper sponges, clean them and flush out tube re-install sponges and do test page.
Jeanne: I have the same problem. Seems to have begun after I tried putting the printer on a wireless network. That didn't work, and now, neither does the printer. I downloaded new drivers, in addition to running the utilities. If you want to try that, go to http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&oid=41661&prodoid=46048263&infoType=Downloads&platform=All
Please let me know if you have had any luck finding a fix for you C86. Sorry about the accidental rhyme. This ain't no laughing matter.

Epson printers use a lot of ink to do head cleaning. If you're low on ink, it will give you that message. Put in new ink carts, and head cleaning will happen. You may want to purchase "cleaning carts" that have a special solvent to help un-clog the print heads.
After few head cleaning, ink counter running low, so ink ligh (red) flashing. Then ink counter runing out, so the light stayed on. After replacing both of ink, red light stayed on, because the compatible ink (chip) not recognized by printer. Check epson status monitor. Use original ink or refill and reset ink level counter.
I have a epson stylus NX110 Printer the ink cartridges will not stop so that i can put in new ones.I press the stop button but the ink cartridges will not stop onthe arrow so that i can put in all new ones.
maybe your printer is Blocked by software...
Epson, apart from the chips was invented so that when the printer takes a certain amount of printed pages (about 8000 or so, in most models), suddenly stops working, the two buttons start to flash and does not walk more .
This is because the ink that they will bring to the cartridges when cleaning heads, going somewhere. These are the waste ink tanks, this is where you stay, and the printer has a meter that estimates when the tank is full and stops the printer to prevent ink overflow and cause an internal short circuit.
How do I unlock it?
To save money and the hassle of carrying it to better manage service yourself. You download the software company that provides ssc, Static Control Components, on the next page: http://www.ahorraentinta.com.es/ayuda_ssc.htm
On that page in Spanish will help to make your Epson is like new.
PS: If your printer is not supported by this program (such as the Epson C67) you put in google EPSON ADJUSTMENT PROGRAM FOR EPSON C67 and the low of software.
zark4, The green light flashing means you have print jobs waiting to be printed. Don't Turn Off The Printer When The Green Light Is Flashing ! If you have paper in the printer, the red light means you have an empty ink cartridge. Because both things are happening at the same time, here's what you need to do. First click start. Click printers and faxes. Double left click the Epson C-60 Icon. Left click Printer and click Cancel all documents and click yes, then exit. Remove and reinsert your new ink cartridges to make sure they are seated correctly. After you have done this and the printer finishes the automatic charging of the ink cartridges, the lights should be back to normal. Green light on.
there is one thing that if you refill the cartriage and then use again then still ink indicator shows low ink as its' ckt is designed so.
there is no problem you can print easily. your printer will show correct ink level when you put in new cartriage.
but remember one thing that if your printer stops printing and shows message on computer that no ink in cartriage ,, then you need to reset printer counter, (this resetting process is present in your printer manual)
so no problem in printing, it shows low ink because the circuit inside it is designed soo.
so that you purchase new cartriage. (remember : you need to reset the counter , refer to manual)
