With my handycam I have recorded some movie clips, but when I access the DVD into my computer's DVD player, it shows me the blank DVD. DVD is also not working with DVD Player. How can I access this DVD into my comp and transfer all data from DVD to Comp. Please Help!!!
(at first, sorry for my english, i speak spanish)
Well dear friend, maybe you forgot to do an important step. When you finish your video recording, you have to search in the MENU for "FINALIZE" and click it in your cam's LCD. It's the step for burn your dvd so then you'll be able to see it in your PC and any dvd player.
So remember: Menu-Finalize- (it will ask "are you sure")you say YES- then wait for it to burn without moving your cam! and that's it.
If that's not your problem try to buy and i.link cable for that cam to transfer the video directly from your cam to the computer.

Hi, You need to use DV Port in camcorder to transfer movie files into computer that must has same DV Port. USB port can not be used to transfer movie files as its just to provide still picture data. DV Port is maybe labeled as iLink in your camcorder so hook camcorder with computer with DV cable. Hope this info will help you. Thanks.
You can use a card reader to transfer your file from your handycam to your computer. Remove the memory card in your camera and insert it to the card reader and insert it to your computer to transfer your recorded video.
CCD-TRV58 is analog camcorder and can not be connected with computer directly as camcorder does not have USB or iLink/ DV ports. Computer needs digital format movie data to store / edit files. You need to hook camcorder audio-video out to DVD recorder and burn DVD of camcorder movie so you will get digital format of movie. Put that DVD in computer and copy files for further process.
Hi, If you are asking about CCD-TRV211 camcorder? CCD-TRV211 is analog Video-8 camcorder so its movie data is not digital and can not be connected directly with computer via USB port. Best and easiest was is to connect camera with DVD Recorder and burn DVD, this will convert analog movie file into digital data and you can copy it to hard disk of computer.
Several steps are involved.
You will need a firewire or USB cord to connect your camera to your computer. You will need a video capture application on your PC. Macs come with this program, I-Movie. Once captured, the movies can be edited. Your PC will need a combination drive to burn a DVD from the captured material.
An easier way: Take your camera output and feed it directly into a DVD recorder. No editing, but it is a one-step process. I use both methods.
I have tried to copy movies to the computer but when I try to play them on the computer, there is no sound I transferred the videos I recorded onto my computer but no sound when playing them on the PC. The file is also a video clip file not an audio/video file unlike other files that I transferred from my other camcorder
