My camera is less than one year old and my view find is completely white. Pictures are still being recorded because when I upload them on my computer they appear. Can you help?

WOW! This actually worked. Punching the camera also helped relieve my frustration over it not working. To think I almost threw it away! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can confirm that opening the my sony dsc-s40 and disconnecting the lcd and cleaning the contacts and reconnecting fixed this problem. I didn't want to risk damaging the camera by abusing it, lol. The contacts were clean, but I cleaned them anyway. I think a connector had just come loose as there are a lot of small high density ribbon cables. -oc

Hitting the camera with knuckle worked better - i didnt understand what does this mean >>>>"he problem is in bad contacts on flat cable from the LCD. Cleaning the cable and the connector can solve the problem."

Hello, you should claim for an in warranty repair. The problem is in bad contacts on flat cable from the LCD. Cleaning the cable and the connector can solve the problem. If you need more info please advice.

Found solution on another site. Hold camera in left hand and rap the front where the Cyber-shot labl is with a knuckle. Worked first time and for dozens of others!
