Question about Hotpoint Aquarius WD63 Front Load Washer/Dryer
Hi Theres power to the washing machine but its not filling up with water and its not starting any of its programmes isit repairable or not
Surely by now you've checked to see if your water inlet into the machine is good, ie turn on the taps. The machine wont start if there is no water coming in. Try the spin only function, it works??

What is the clothes capacity of the machine; try to limit within capacity. Try the "spin only" function aft putting the clothes. Then put the machine off & continue with the main cycle.
Have a look at where your drain hose is going. The highest point in the hose needs to be higher than the "minimum drainage hose height" line marked on the back of the machine.
Washing machines don't have valves to keep the water in - they simply rely on the pump pushing water over the hump in the hose when you want to empty them, and the water not being able to climb the hill on its own the rest of the time.
