Ho do I scan?
You're using this in OS 10.4, 10.5? MP Navigator was buggy in Tiger. Is it plugged directly into the computer (not through a hub)? Or you can download the third party VueScan drivers to make sure it's not hardware related.
Yeah, thanks Bart, except I tried all that. That's why I'm here.
Unless there is something tricky about your problem, it is pretty straight-forward:
1 - place the original on the platen or in the ADF
2 - press "Scan"
3 - choose save to PC, save to PDF, attach to email, open with app. and press OK
4 - choose 2-sided from ADF, 1-sided from ADF, from platen and press Ok
5 - let it do its thing.

My Canon MP830 won't scan. The instruction book (pg 129) said that I have to have MP Drivers and MP Navigator installed. The copy portion of the Canon works. So I re-downloaded the MP Drivers and MP Navigator from the Canon site. It downloaded and self-extracted in the Canon folder successfully (so it said), but when I go to Start, All Programs, Canon--they're not there! so I can't launch MP Navigator like I'm supposed to. What am I doing wrong? One added thing...this is Vista 32 added onto a Mac. I'll never buy a Mac again. What a pain!
