Question about Canon PowerShot A95 Digital Camera
As jackboy suggests, this sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your cameras warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:

i get pink color/hue when i shoot in daylight. the problem resolves in night and indoors.
I also got the same problem where many white horizontal lines crosses the photo with very unclear but the video is ok. thank you
