Most digital cameras now have different flash modes. Some start well before the shutter releases, some start just before it releases. The important part is the shutter should release at the last flash.
If this is not the case, then try changing the batteries to a different type (if using rechargeable nicad, try NiMH or alkalines, etc) and see if that makes a difference if the flash is lagging the shutter.
Otherwise, you will need to contact manufacturer for possible repair assistance.
It's impossible to seal against the inevitable dust. The best we can do is protect our cameras as much as possible. If you want to be able to clean a sensor, you need to step up to a DSLR camera. Maybe you're ready...I know you will be very happy with one even though they are a bit of an investment to get started.
you have to put the camera in view mode first ...and select pict bridge ..than follow the instructions on your camera ...probably will have to accept connection or confirm transfer ..
