My drill will stop run

Have seen this once before on a DeWalt. Chances are the tool fell and upon impact something jammed the switch. Kawasaki Power Tools are manufactured by Alltrade Tools, you can contact them to get this drill serviced. http://www.alltradetools.com/index.php/product-support/parts-and-service/

Kawasaki 19.2 cordless drill

I will go one further, they had a recall of their batteries which could have led to your problem back in 2007 and the chargers on some of them also. I would again call the number and give them the date codes from both and then try again at getting it replaced. Their are a lot of posts online for this to be a simple occurence, The battery could have shorted internally causing the switch to melt and there would be a potential for user injury also. Let me know if you find anything out and if you have there web address I would be interested.

Kawasaki 19.2 cordless drill

Hi Tim, Sounds like you got it figured out! The only question I see is if there is a quick fix, and it looks like you answered your own question. You can certainly pursue requesting that it be fixed as a manufacturing defect/ faulty part, or even a safety hazard as that is your right. While I can not suggest you take that route, the old metaphor of the sparking trigger that melted in my hand always seemed to get a lot of attention. Good Luck to you, hope this Fixsya!
