Question about Malber WD1000 Front Load Washer/Dryer

Machine runs, but clothing won't dry

Hello all, We have a 2-year-old Malber Washer/Dryer Combo. The machine has been running well, but lately the clothing won't dry. Depite repeated dry cycles, amounting to 4+ hours of dry time, the clothing is still sopping wet. There don't seem to be any other issues with the machine (No funny noises, everything runs when you start a new load). We're calling the company on Monday, but I thought I would check to see if anyone has dealt with the same issue. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

It sounds like your heating element is shot. The elements on this machine are very sensitive and if you use too much cleaning fluid the part will wear down after a while. You will need to get the part replaced (yuck) and start to use a little less washer fluid. Please let me know about your experience with the company ([email protected])

How do you get the water to drain in the Malber WD100 washer/dryer combo?

Hi. I''m assuming you are referring to a WD1000.
To initiate the drain cycle: Rotate far right knob CLOCKWISE to Position 4. It may take 30-45 seconds to recognize the knob's new position, but then it will begin an 11 minute Slow Tumble/Pump Out cycle. During this cycle you'll see the internal drum slowly rotate CW for 60 seconds, pause, then rotate CCW for 5 secs - then repeat. All this time the pump will run and you'll hear water running down the drain. When you hear no more water you can rotate same knob to "straight up", and stop the machine. To turn power off, press the rightmost button.

WD 9900 does not dry

Most all dryers, including combo washer/dryers, have an electric wire coil for a heating element.
I suspect yours has given up ( they usually break in two, stopping the electrical flow). You should need to have the element replaced.
Going to need to take the whole machine apart to fix this.
Be blessed.

Malber WD1000 dryer timer starts running immediately when set, even in the middle of wash cycle

Call in the troops! You need to have the controller panel opened and checked for excessive lint and dirt. There is a short or two in that mess!

My Malber WD1000 over floas and does not dry = can you advise me

First off, I have found that my machine gets clothes 90% dry (or 75%). Also, when I first installed mine, I did not properly drain it. The drain hose you notice comes out the bottom of the machine, goes up to the top and then goes back down again. I had to take the hose from there back up again to create a trap that held the water so it did not flow back into the machine. (I figured this out by disconnecting the hose entirely and letting the water run onto the ground.
Hope this helps.

I just got a malber 1000 washer/dryer. Can it be used as a dryer only?

NO THIS UNIT USES CONDENSED DRYING AND WILL WET THE CLOTHES BEFORE IT EVEN TURNS ON THE HEATER. BASICALLY YOUR COMBO USES STEAM CIRCULATION THRU YOUR CLOTHES. AS THE SMALL WATER PARTICLES IN THE STEAM MOVE THRU YOUR CLOTHES IT COMBINES WITH SMALL WATER PARTICALS IN THE CLOTHES(THINK OF 2 WATER DROPS COMBINING ON YOUR WINDSHEILD AND HOW THEY ABSORB TOGETHER) WHICH RISE TO THE TOP OF THE TUB AND COLLECT INTO WATER AGAIN. THEY THEN ROLL DOWN THE SIDES OF THE TUB AND COLLECT AGAIN AT THE BOTTOM TO BE PUMPED OUT. BEFORE THIS PROCESS EVEN STARTS THE UNIT WILL ACTUALLY ADD WATER TO GENERATE THE STEAM. MOST PEOPLE FIND THAT IF THEY WANT TO JUST FRESHEN UP SOMETHING, IT WILL END UP DRENCHING WET IN THE FIRST FEW MINUTES.

Heats but won't dry

I'm not at all familiar with the Malber brand, but I do know that the basics any dryer needs to work are: 1. Heat 2. tumbling (so the air can reach all areas of the wet clothes) and 3. air flow, so the moist air is removed from the dryer.

The number one cause of poor or no drying is poor air flow. Check the end of the vent outside to see if you are getting a strong flow of air out when the dryer is running. I'll bet you are not. Find out why and correct. (clean out lint, reduce or better yet eliminate any flex duct, try to make vent pipe as short and straight as possible, use a dryer vent end cap which has a large opening, etc.)

Dryer doesn't dry clothes, doesn't start right after Wash

If the machine is brand new, I imagine all you want to do is check you're using the machine correctly before you claim on the warranty. Trouble is, the design of this machine is so weird, and the instructions so poor that it's easy to get it wrong. So far as I can make out from this distance, you need to have all of: Spin Cancel: Out Half Load: In Cold/Cold: In Hot/Cold: Out Cold water supply: Available Drain Hose: Connected .... and as with most condensing dryers, you need to let it run to the end of its cycle - if you take stuff out without running the final 12 minute cooldown period, everything will come out feeling a bit clammy. If those control settings don't help, try a functional faultfinding approach. To dry properly, the machine needs to do four things at once: 1. Tumble the clothes: You can see whether this is happening or not. From your description, it sounds like this is working. If this isn't right, see if changing control settings works, but then for a new machine make a warranty call. 2. Blow hot air over the clothes: You should be able to hear the fan running, and if you open the door, the air which comes out should be quite warm. If this isn't right, see if changing control settings works, but then for a new machine make a warranty call. 3. Condense the moisture out of the circulating air: If this isn't happening, the clothes don't get any dryer - they just get increasingly hot. Before making a warranty claim, all you need to do with this problem is ensure that the supplies and settings are such that cold water (and only cold water) is getting to the condenser. 4. Pump out the condensate: If you've just washed successfully, this is probably going to be working fine. If not, then you'll start to see the drum slowly filling with water. If this happens, check the filter (p12 of the manual), then get the warranty claim going. Welcome follow-on questions or news on how you get on posted as a comment to this query. A.
