Please can some one help i have a panasonic dvd rv62 which when ever it is switched on comes up with a f498 code on the lcd display and nothing else mattie
SOURCE: Fault code F498 on panasonic
as far as i understand, it is caused by dry joints - poor workmanship. Try taking the top off and pressing down on right-hand side the green circuit board with the dvd in standby. Then switch on. If that works then what i did was to take all the screws out and jiggle it then put all screws back except the one to the left of the board, next to the brown board. seems to work now. Tip found on another forum, no credit to me

You can try to clean the laser by opening the unit and wiping gently with a cue tip or cotton swab, but if you are getting a H07 errorit may be somethng more serious and require a replacementof the dvd drive.I hope this helps. Good luck.
