Envision Series / AOC 22 hdtv monitor

HI Fixya ,
First post ever.
I have a 22 inch monitor
AOC Envision Series L22W765, I believe its the model for Latin America.
Yes I went to the AOC pages here at fixya , but I couldn't find the envision model.

Here 's the problem.
When I turn on the monitor, it searches for a signal,the power light flashes orange , displays the computer or tv image and after 5-10 seconds it turns it self back off agian. The power light stays orange.
The problem started yesterday but after two tries it stayed on.I turned it off and in the evening it worked again. But today it just turns it self back off again.
Three days ago I Installed a soundcard , but after a few hours it was giving me feedback through the speakers which are on the floor. The mic was turned off by the way ,pc mic level and the mic itself .The monitor worked fine no distortion.Could this be the problem. How can I fix this ? I bought it 4 months ago ,it worked perfectly ,and I dont believe this models is that old. Or did some fuse get blown Im not a technician but I can ask a few people here to help me ?

Probably blown capacitors, the 19" widescreen uses 6 16V 1000uF
Do you have a soldering gun? Its not that hard to fix, get the capacitors on ebay for $6-$8 with shipping.

Remove pedistal base from 24h898 aoc envision tv

You need to remove the cover that hides the 4 screws that hold the stand to the monitor. There are 3 pieces to the pedestal base. The base plate, the pedestal, and the screw cover. To remove the screw cover, look on the back where the pedestal attaches to the monitor. There is a cover just above the pedestal. Pinch the top left and top right sides (about one inch from edge) to unclip the cover. Remove the 4 silver screws (2 on each tab) and put them in a ziploc bag to avoid losing them. Tape them to the pedestal/base and cover.

My Envision Series AOC TV has blue lines across the screen when its on. Common problem?

This might be a screen driver problem that cannot be easily repaired without replacing the whole screen assembly. It may be cheaper to replace your TV. Ask a repair shop for a repair quote.

When i turn on my monitor (Envision G22LWk) it will go blank about 1 second after I turn it on. What might be the problem?

You may have power supply/inverter board problem due to bad caps, or worst case will be bad lamp assembly, the one shown here has broken lamps, you can hear arcing sound if you listen real close.

Hello,

I don't think there is still warranty for this TV. Usually, warranty last for 1 to 2 years... In summary there is not warranty for this TV, it must have expired.

To further confirm, check the receipt of purchase. The warranty duration should be stated there.

How do I change the input to HDMI on my 21 inch AOC envision series without using the remote? I cannot get my TV to change to HDMI with out the remote control.

Look for the manual control button the said INPUT.Pushes couple times,now u will move within HDMI modes like 1,2,3.

The AOC Envision A17W221 only has a NTSC tuner (analog). If you are using an OTA antenna, you probably need a digital (ATSC) to NTSC converter box to get any TV signals. These include the ones sold with the government coupon at the switchover. Very few analog stations still broadcast; they were limited to low power transmitters. Thus you need to be close to the transmitter to receive a watchable TV program. For the best signal to the AOC A17W221, connect the component video out on the converter box to the component in on the TV. The specifications for the A17W221 are available on the Amazon sale page, https://www.amazon.com/International-A17W221-17-Inch-HD-Ready-Panel/dp/B0009IRHL8/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 . This monitor is no longer available from Amazon but the site is still there. Newegg also has the specifications for this monitor.

Unfortunately, I can't find the manual for the A17W221. AOC only lists a few manuals for current models. These are available here: http://www.aocmonitorap.com/my/user_manual.php .

I hope this helps. To check for available stations in your area, use a site like antennaweb.org or tvfool.com. Antennaweb gives very conservative estimates on stations that you should be able to receive with an external antenna.
